황제펭귄, 최은미 작가 초청 특강, 학술답사 등

[대학저널 이선용 기자] 광주대학교 문예창작과와 웹소설 CP 업체 엔리즈는 지난 11월 26일 산학협력 업무협약을 맺었다. 또 협약식에서 1·2학년 재학생 8명이 연재 계약을 맺는 성과도 올렸다.

협약 이후 엔리즈 장은석 이사의 강연도 이어다. 장 이사는 웹소설 트렌드와 미래에 대한 현장 경험담을 생생하게 들려주며 플랫폼과 장르에 대한 탐구 이전 글을 쓰는 것을 즐기라는 조언을 건네며 웹소설 전공자들의 열띤 관심을 받았다.

한편, 광주대 문예창작학과는 학기말을 맞아 재학생의 역량 강화를 위한 특강과 학술답사도 잇따라 개최했다.

지난 11월 25일에는 광주대 출신 웹소설 작가 황제펭귄이 모교를 방문해 ‘황제펭귄과 함께 글을’이라는 표제로 끈질기게 쓰는 작가가 되라며 후배들에게 응원을 보냈고, 27일에는 최은미 소설가의 강연이 이어졌다. 최은미 작가는 ‘소설가의 장소, 소설가의 감정’이라는 주제로 서사 속 타인의 영역을 섬세하게 담아내게 된 계기를 나눈 뒤 재학생들이 소설 창작을 하면서 느낀 고충들을 함께 나눴다. 또 11월 12~14일에는 여수, 보성, 나주 일대 학술답사를 통해 창작의 계기를 마련하는 동시에 학우들 간의 우의를 다졌다.

문예창작과 안점옥 학과장은 “매년 가을이면 문학제와 학술답사 등 풍성하고 다채로운 기획으로 한 해 교육과정의 성과를 갈무리하고 있다”며 “특히 올해는 1·2학년들이 대거 계약을 맺으며 작가의 길로 들어서는 성과를 보여 매우 기쁘다”고 말했다.
